Yes, a swimming pool does need to be serviced every week in order to maintain a healthy chemical balance and prevent harmful bacteria. We can schedule our Affinity Pools technicians on a consistent basis to maintain your swimming pool in order to cut down on any illnesses or safety hazards that can be transmitted via your swimming pool.

You must run your filter system every day in order to circulate and filter all the water. Your pool water should turn over about twice per day in the hottest months, so your pump capacity, plumbing and flow also affect run time decisions. Pool filters should be run about 8 to 10 hours per day in the summer and 4 to 8 hours per day in the winter.

Your pool filter should be cleaned about every 6 months to a year to ensure a safe and clean filtration. Our expert technicians can provide pool filter cleaning and repair services to your pool and prevent any future damages from occurring including clogging, excess debris and algae. Your pool will stay cleaner if your filter is efficient.

Affinity Pools technicians will set up your pump, most likely in the afternoon, and then run it for about 12 hours and return the next morning to work. After the chlorine wash, you must wait about 24 hours before using your toxin-free swimming pool. We highly recommend the chlorine wash for all swimming pool owners.

If you hear an unusual or alarming sound in your pool pump, please call Affinity Pools to have a trustworthy technician fix the problem. Your pump may be showing signs of wear or damage or partially blocked and in need of replacement and rebuilding. A noisy pool pump is in immediate need of attention to prevent future complications.
